Photopaper Patterns you can find in the collection

Creative Place photo papers are basically ready‑made mini scenes – just place your project or product on top, add a few props and you have a perfect shot for Instagram or your online shop. Among the designs you’ll find for example:
- Wood and bricks – e.g. “Boards” photo paper, plus patterns like bricks, wicker, basket weave and bark.
- Chocolate & sweets – dark and milk chocolate bars, perfect for sweet projects and dessert photos.
- Textiles – carpet, knit, jeans, jute, sweater – cosy, soft backgrounds for winter or home‑themed work.
- Vintage papers – old paper, papyrus and gently aged textures, ideal for junk journals and retro layouts.
- Special effects – silver, gold, sand, stones, rose petals, snow – when you want a very specific texture without heavy mixed media.
See the complete list of designs under the “fotopapier” search tag.
Idea #1: Backdrops for product and project photography
Perfect for: makers who sell their work, run Instagram accounts, blogs or online shops – anywhere a good photo matters.
Instead of random tablecloths or blankets, simply place a photo paper sheet, arrange your project and a few props (scissors, twine, a sprig of greenery) – and your scene is ready.
- For a natural / eco look: choose designs like Boards, Jute, Bark or Basket.
- For jewellery or elegant projects: reach for Gold, Silver, Old Paper or Watercolour.
- For a winter mood: Snow, Knit, Sweater and frosty watercolours work beautifully.
Idea #2: 12×12 layouts and albums from a single sheet
The 320×477 mm format is made for scrapbookers. From one sheet you can create:
- a full 12×12" layout base or album page,
- extra strips, tags and flags from the remaining strip,
- a fully coordinated project – all elements share the same pattern.
Quick layout idea:
- Cut a 30×30 cm (12×12") square from your photo paper (boards, old paper, knit – whatever suits your theme).
- Place your photo in the centre on 3D foam tape to lift it above the background.
- Use the leftover strip to cut banners and rectangles and layer them under the photo.
- Add chipboards, a title and a few splatters of paint or ink.
- Done – a realistic background with only one sheet used.
Idea #3: Covers for notebooks, planners and art journals
Photo paper is strong, smooth and has a premium feel – which makes it perfect for covers.
- Trim the sheet to fit your cover base (with a little extra to wrap around the edges).
- Glue it onto chipboard, smoothing the surface and corners carefully.
- Add metal corners, a chipboard title or a label and a ribbon closure.
For covers we especially recommend: Knit, Sweater, Jeans, Jute, Dark and Milk Chocolate as well as Gold and Silver for a more glamorous look.
Idea #4: Cards, tags and ATCs with a “wow” factor
You don’t always need big projects – photo papers also shine in small formats:
- ATC cards – cut small rectangles (2.5×3.5") from Sand, Watercolour or Old Paper designs; add stamps, sentiments and stickers.
- Gift tags – one sheet will give you a whole series of tags in the same style, perfect for Christmas or birthdays.
- Clean & Simple cards – a strip of photo paper + a bold sentiment + a few enamel dots = stylish card in minutes.
Idea #5: Home decor and mixed media projects
Photo papers also love stepping outside the album:
- Canvases and panels – glue a sheet to a canvas or wooden panel, then build a 3D composition with a photo, flowers, chipboards and a quote.
- Photo frames – use photo paper as a background inside the frame, add a picture and a few small embellishments.
- Gift boxes – cover the lid with a Boards, Gold or Jute design and finish with a bow and name tag.
